Brittany Goodnight brings her training and experience as a trial lawyer to the Firm’s litigation and trial team, where she focuses on representing people harmed by medical malpractice, wrongful death and other complex civil litigation. Brittany's experience includes trying civil and criminal cases over the past decade in various Alaska courts, as well as settling cases when in her client’s interests. Throughout her life, Brittany has focused on helping others and building her community. While in law school at UCLA, she specialized in public interest law, was an editor of the UCLA Law Review, and volunteered at the New Way of Life Prisoner Re-Entry Legal Clinic. Upon completing law school, she was hired by the Deputy Presiding Judge as a law clerk, then became a trial lawyer for the Alaska Public Defender Agency. During this time, Brittany attended the exclusive Trial Lawyer’s College at Thunderhead Ranch in Wyoming and received instruction from trial great Gerry Spence. After eight years she joined the Attorney General’s office as a trial lawyer in the civil tort section, litigating negligence, standard of care and wrongful death cases. Brittany brings compassion, energy, and a strong work ethic to her clients and cases.

Born and raised in Chugiak, Alaska, Brittany is married to her high school sweetheart, with whom she has two amazing kids. When not in the courtroom, Brittany likes spending time with family, working on puzzles, and planning Alaskan adventures.
