Regulatory Commission of Alaska, Public Utility and Pipeline Matters

The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) has the authority, with some exceptions, to regulate public utilities engaged or proposing to engage in utility business in the State. Additionally, the RCA has the authority to regulate pipelines and pipeline carriers in the State. Practice in front of the RCA is a highly-specialized area of law, with unique rules of procedure and evidence. We have experience in and offer representation on all matters in front of the RCA, including natural gas, telecommunications, electric, water, sewer, and refuse utility matters, as well as pipeline matters. With our extensive litigation experience we also offer representation on appeals from RCA decisions.
